Through these associations, several thousands of victims filed individual requests as civil parties

  • 23 months of instruction from the date of appointment of judges in March 2013
  • 10 months with three months spent on the implementation of the procedure
  • 7 months of trial are anticipated, including the judgment phase and a possible civil proceeding
  • 7 months are anticipated of appeal, if called

– 8.5 million euros expected cost for the entire procedure, including the participation of organizations and contributions from the following countries:

  • European Union 23%
  • Kingdom of the Netherlands 12%
  • African Union 9%
  • United States 8%
  • Belgium 6%
  • French Republic 3.5%
  • Federal Republic of Germany 2%
  • Grand Duchy of Luxembourg 1%

– 10% of the total budget is spent on outreach.
